SMS Terms & Conditions
These SMS Terms & Conditions (the “SMS Terms”) govern the text-message program operated by Cumberlege Law (“Cumberlege Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By providing your mobile telephone number and opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these SMS Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not opt in and do not provide your mobile number.
1. Program Description
When you opt in, Cumberlege Law may send you recurring text (SMS/MMS) messages related to the following: appointment and consultation reminders and confirmations, and follow-up communications regarding an inquiry or intake request you submitted to our firm. We do not send text messages for third-party marketing.
2. Consent to Receive Messages
Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services or of engaging Cumberlege Law for legal representation. You provide your consent by submitting your mobile number through one of our opt-in methods (for example, a contact or intake form, or by texting us first) and affirmatively agreeing to receive text messages. Consent applies only to messages from Cumberlege Law and is not transferable to, or shared with, any other business or affiliate.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us and the status of your appointment or inquiry.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Such charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. Cumberlege Law is not responsible for any message or data charges you incur. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging and data plan.
5. Opting Out
You may cancel the text-message program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a single confirmation message and will not send you any further text messages unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by replying CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE.
6. Help
For help or more information at any time, reply HELP to any message, email sean@cumberlegelaw.com, or call (720) 446-9533.
7. Supported Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed.
8. Your Mobile Number and Device
You represent that you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide, and that you are at least 18 years of age. You agree to notify us if you relinquish or change that mobile number.
9. Privacy
Information you provide in connection with this program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
10. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Text messages exchanged through this program are for scheduling, reminder, and general informational purposes. They do not create an attorney-client relationship, do not constitute legal advice, and should not be used to transmit time-sensitive, confidential, or case-critical information. An attorney-client relationship with Cumberlege Law is formed only through a signed written engagement agreement.
